About my dog, He's a Fawn Chihuahua?

I have a Fawn Chihuahua and I have brought him benefal, alpo, and dog chow dry and some soft foods and all he does is sniff and sit and won't eat it. He like my cats nine lives dry and softfood, Is this normal or bad he likes table food also thanks to my husband. How do I get him to love his foo! Help
