Enlisting in the Marine Corps?

I talked to the recruiter for the first time on september 10th, took my asvab september 15th, went to meps september 22nd and I ship out to bootcamp october 18th. I think the recruiter brushed it off because your still in HS and he has to wait another year before he can do much with you. I'm 19 next month but I wasnt in school or anything when I talked to him so he was interested more. Just a thought.
