no, heres what atkins does. by intaking no carbs, your body burns fat instead of carbs and you do indead lose weight, but the problem is that with this method, you are essiantially starving yourself, because you need carbs to survive. all diets of that nature are BS, because when you deprive your body pf the food hat it is used too, it overcompensates ofr that and makes you super hungry, causing you to eat more than when you weren't on a diet.
