Is it time to give up space exploration and concentrate on exploring our natural world more thoroughly?

The human race has existed as a separate species for about two million years. Civilization began about 10,000 years ago, and the rate of development has been steadily increasing. But, if the human race is to continue for another million years, we will have to boldly go where no one has gone before. Our Earth cannot live forever , it is dying as I write this .The only way it can survive if there was an ice age and we started again , but even that is flawed our sun is burning up. The first astronauts sent to Mars should be prepared to spend the rest of their lives there, in the same way that European pioneers headed to America knowing they wouldn't return home, it is a long way off technology is advancing , when you think about it the first travelers to the moon had less technology on board than the home computer we have today
